Outlined here are the steps we are taking to reduce the risk of spread of Covid-19 during this year’s Festival.
- Physical Distancing
- Plexiglass barriers will be installed on gate windows
- Signs recommending 6-ft spacing will be posted at wait lines
- Painted/tape marks for 6-ft distancing at wait lines
- Seating under entertainment tents will be reduced by at least 25% and rearranged
- Additional seating will be placed in other areas of the festival grounds
- Entrance/exit gates will be wider to enter and exit the grounds
- Aisles widened at frequent congestion points
- Narrow aisles will be marked as one-way traffic
- Wider aisles will have center-line painted to promote efficient flow of foot traffic
- Protective Measures
- No shared condiment dispensers
- Wearing of masks will be recommended or required upon entry in accordance to state rules at that time
- Vendors will wear masks
- Hand sanitizer stations will be at portable restrooms and highlighted with a balloon.
- Hand sanitizer will be available for the gate workers. They shall sanitize their hands frequently (at minimum after soiled money, start/end of shift, before & after breaks
- Food & beverage samples pre-packaged
- Non-Contact thermometers will be used to test employees & vendors with symptoms.
- Will encourage employees & vendors to stay home if they are feeling unwell.
- No shuttle service for 2020
- Lighthouse will be locked and closed to visitors
- Volunteers working in association with the Health Dept and the Festival will roam aisles to encourage social distancing and following of rules.
- Porta toilets will be spaced apart as possible
- Cleaning
- More frequent cleaning of frequent contact surfaces (picnic tables, admission counters)
- Mounting bleach spray & paper towels to the picnic tables for visitor self-cleaning
- Vendors will clean high touch surfaces within booths and provide hand sanitizer
- Limiting contact
- Limit number of dancers on dance floor during group performances that do not use the dance floor area. If a performer is using the dance floor area, visitors should not be allowed on the area with the performer.
- Performers will remain on the stage area
- Performers will maintain 10’ separation from public
- Recommendations to beat the crowd will be posted to social media pages
- No hand-stamping for readmission
- Signs will be posted at tables promoting family seating
- Hourly announcements over field PA system about social distancing
- Prizes given at random to those social distancing correctly.
